We are continuing our WE CAN STAY DRUG FREE theme...The tri-campus schools will be collecting canned goods. This will go to the Lake Houston Ministerial Alliance Food Pantry which is housed at First Baptist Church, Huffman. The canned goods will be available for area families who are in need. Classrooms will collect canned goods from October 27th to November 5th.



Sir Reads-A-Lot's Fall Book Fair

CES/HIS PTO is so excited to present the fall Scholastic Book Fair.  We have preparations the week of the 20th, and then Book Fair opens October 27-31.  We have two special offers for parents: first, all volunteers who donate 2 hours or more of their time receive a BUY 3 GET 1 FREE certificate for books.  Second, all purchases of $20 or more will earn a Book Fair spirit stick.  We appreciate your generous support for this great opportunity to get new books into the hands of your children.

Please note that there is a different procedure for check in for the awards ceremonies.  See below for a copy of the COPELAND ELEMENTARY RSVP LETTERYou would have received this letter ONLY if your child is receiving a classroom award on October 31st.  If you received this letter it is VERY important that you complete the bottom of the form letting us know who will be coming to school that day.  Please make sure to write legibly and to put first and last names on the form.

We will continue our 'Coins for Cancer' collection throughout the month of October.  The collection containers are at the front office of CES and HIS.  Please consider donating your change.  The collections will go to local residents who are battling cancer.



 

 ALL VISITORS MUST PROVIDE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE OR STATE I.D.

(This includes, but is not limited to, checking students out of school, attending parties, attending award ceremonies, teacher conferences, eating lunch with students etc...)

Students are tardy at 8:30.

Dismissal will begin at 3:45.

The City of Houston is enforcing a no parking zone in the median in front of BBECC, CES, and HIS. For district Employees, Staff and visitors, overflow parking will be provided in Jack Spence Stadium parking lot.


For the safety of your children, please do not drop them off at school earlier than 7:45 AM.

There is no one on campus before that time to supervise them.
