The HIS Campus would like to thank the Huffman ISD School Board

for their dedication to the staff and students in Huffman ISD.  For

those of you who have attended board meetings and had the

honor of speaking to these individuals, it is apparent how much

these board members care for the Huffman community, the

students and the staff.  Thank you to Charles Bardwell, Dean

Tinnin, Jerry Jones, Becky Streetman, Ray Burt, Matt Dutton

and Patrick Keith!  Keep up the great work!

This year CES and HIS will be teaming up with CAPS FOR KIDS, a national non-profit organization dedicated to giving caps signed by athletes and celebrities to children battling cancer.  All students will be encouraged to participate in 'Cap Day' taking place on February 12, 2015.

 Students will have an opportunity to wear their favorite caps to school in return for donating $1.  100% of the proceeds benefit Caps for Kids.

GT Nominations for 1st – 5th grade

February 9th – 27th


Parents and teachers may nominate students to be tested for the REACH program. Nominations will be accepted February 10 – February 28, 2015. Students enrolled after the fall G/T identification period and any student enrolled the previous year in Huffman ISD are eligible for spring testing. Please contact the counselor or your child’s teacher February 10 – 28 to submit your child’s name. Screening will begin at the end of March, 2015.

The City of Houston is enforcing a no parking zone in the median in front of BBECC, CES, and HIS. For district Employees, Staff and visitors, overflow parking will be provided in Jack Spence Stadium parking lot.
