Due to inclement weather forcing Huffman ISD schools to be closed on January 24 and 28, we have revised our school calendar to meet our instructional requirements. All Huffman ISD schools and administrative offices will be open Monday, February 17 and Friday, June 6. These two days will serve as make-up days for the school closings due to inclement weather. Friday, June 6 will be an early release day and Thursday, June 5 will now be a full instructional day.

A message from the Principal

Welcome to Huffman Intermediate School, home to future Falcon Leaders!  We are starting this school year with approximately 500 of the brightest and most hard working learners in the great state of Texas!

Not only does Huffman Intermediate have the best students in Texas, we also house the most competent and dedicated professionals.  Our teachers and staff work at building relationships with students while holding them to the highest academic standards.  Huffman Intermediate is a student-centered campus that differentiates instruction for all students.

The district theme for this school year is Finding the Leader in Every Child-Raising Expectations.  Huffman Intermediate School will be focusing on helping students recognize and develop their leadership strengths while challenging them academically.

Huffman Intermediate is an inclusive campus that fosters a partnership between home and school.  We encourage parents to be active participants in their child’s learning.  Parents are invited to participate in the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), volunteer on campus, and join various committees.

It takes the entire community to raise and enrich the lives of students.  We invite you to join our team!

Raising Expectations,

Amy Turner, Principal

For the safety of your children, please do not drop them off at school earlier than 7:30 AM.  There is no one on campus before that time to supervise them.
