Board recognized principals, transportation staff, and child nutrition staff at September meeting

 

The Huffman ISD Board of Trustees recognized campus principals, Transportation staff, and Child Nutrition staff at September's Board meeting Monday night. October is National Principals Month, National School Bus Safety Week (Oct 12-16), and National School Lunch Week (Oct 18-24). We appreciate ALL that these folks do for our district!

 

The Huffman ISD Board recognized our campus principals on Monday night for their exemplary leadership and dedication to Huffman IS...D students and staff. October is National Principals Month, and we say “Thank You” for making a difference in the lives of our children.

Our Board recognized the Huffman ISD Transportation Department for outstanding work they do each year and the dedication to our children. Our transportation department logged 342,441 safe miles last year and transported 1,604 students each day. They are to be commended for this outstanding performance! October 12-16 is National School Bus Safety Week – this year’s theme is “Bully Free Zone!” Join us in celebrating our Transportation Department and National School Bus Safety Week in October.

The Huffman ISD Board recognized our Child Nutrition Department for their dedication to the children of our district. During the 2014-2015 school year, over 720,000 meals were served to students at four campus sites in Huffman ISD! We continue to recognize and commend all staff members who accept and meet the daily challenge of providing school lunches to our children. October 18-24 is National School Lunch Week – the theme this year is “School Lunch Snapshot.” Join us in celebrating our Child Nutrition department and National School Lunch Week in October.
