Great news from Huffman ISD Child Nutrition! CEP status for Huffman ISD = free breakfast and lunch for all students this coming year!
Because of Harvey-related impacts to the district, Huffman ISD has become eligible to participate in the “Community Eligibility Program (CEP)”. Under CEP, all students will receive breakfast and lunch at no cost. Every student will eat from the lunch line for free for the entire school year. This means Free and Reduced meal applications will no longer be required.
Ala carte items (snacks, seconds, beverages, etc.) will still be available for purchase. Parents may still place money on student accounts for such purchases through “My School Bucks.” Cash, check, or the “My School Bucks” prepayment app may be used to add money to student accounts throughout the year.
Questions may be directed to our Child Nutrition Director, Mr. Joe Russo at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Huffman ISD Child Nutrition Department prides itself on serving nutritious and good tasting breakfasts and lunches for our students throughout the school year. Students can look forward to several delicious items added to our menus this coming year!
