Legal Requirements
Senate Bill 9 known as the "Fingerprinting Bill" was passed by TX Legislature & signed by Governor Perry. Effective January 1, 2008 all non-certified school applicants in all Texas public & charter schools will be required to be digitally fingerprinted which will include a national criminal history background check. The cost to be printed is $51.59. Employment will be contingent on the results of the background check. For procedures and additional questions, contact the HR Department at 281-324-1871.
