How to use Jamf Student on the iPad to download apps Approved App List – iPad Program – Mater Dei High School

Jamf Student has a catalog of apps available to you for installation on your student iPad. Tap the Jamf Student icon on your iPad to install an app that your teacher would like you to use or an app that you want to use. This is our school district's list of approved apps for student iPad devices. Students do not have access to Apple's App Store on their district iPad. Students do not have access to social media apps like Facebook, Instagram, or SnapChat on their district iPad.

Canvas is the district's learning management system (LMS).  This is where students go to find their online coursework, watch videos recorded by their instructor, and submit their assignments. The Canvas student app should install automatically on your student iPad. Please use your same student login to use the Canvas app. The Safari web browser also works great for using Canvas. Students with laptops should use Canvas through the MyApps portal.

Always backup your laptop/iPad photos, videos, and notes.  We recommend backing up your data to your @huffman.k12.tx.us Google Drive. Use the share button on your iPad to save your photos, videos, or notes to Google Drive (this process will be similar for OneDrive for the note-taking or photo-sharing apps that have the feature). Huffman ISD is not responsible for any deleted or lost data.
