Houston Food Bank
The Houston Food Bank partners with Huffman ISD for the Backpack Buddy Program, sending food home in students’ backpacks for the weekend.  HFB also assists in disaster relief services. 
 
LA Empowerment Services 
Professional wrap around services:  They offer virtual sessions, home sessions,  
 school  sessions, case management, individual counseling, crisis intervention, consultation with parents and teachers.
 
The Harris Center  
The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD strives to provide high quality, efficient, and cost-effective services so that persons with mental disabilities may live with dignity as fully functioning, participating, and contributing members of our community, regardless of their ability to pay based on a sliding scale rate schedule.
 
Rise Recovery 
  To help teens, young adults and families overcome the effects of drugs and alcohol and partner with the community in education and prevention via virtual sessions
 
TCHATT  
FREE access to a real-time multidisciplinary team of behavioral health
experts, including social workers, and psychologists, as well as
consultations with mental health nurse practitioners and child  psychiatrists. 
Pre-crisis intervention for children with behavioral health concerns – intervening
when children are experiencing acute mental health symptoms and preventing a
decline and the need more intense services. 
  Assessment, brief intervention, and care coordination are all available through a telemedicine platform for students enrolled in the district. 
  Services can occur through telemedicine at the school or at the student’s home. 
 
B.R.Y.T.E. 
  Building Resilience in Youth after Traumatic Experiences   (B.R.Y.T.E.) was
  established to address the mental health needs of children and adolescents. The program increases access to evidence-based assessments and treatments for youth trauma survivors. 
The team of mental health professionals can provide trauma focused assessment and treatment to youth ages 6-17. They offer telemedicine therapy services to children and their families. They are committed to building resilience through supportive care.
 
ASUD
  The Adolescent Substance Use Disorder (ASUD) program is part of  (TCHATT).
  ASUD provides free specialized substance use treatment for adolescents ages 12-18 years with problematic alcohol and/or substance use. 
They provide free, time-limited services, including:  individual therapy, family 
therapy, virtual and/or in-person appointments, options for medication assisted 
treatment if needed, referrals for other/ continuing care, as needed  (depending on
your insurance, cost may be incurred)
 
Huffman SEL Referral Form 
A referral made to the Mental Health and Student Wellness Department for
social emotional needs; not therapy. We support students for 6-8 weeks and
monitor their progress.  We remain in
contact with their school guidance counselor throughout the
process.
